My family was invited recently to #GetOutAndPlayNJ at Mountain Creek in New Jersey, honestly within minutes of the invite I was checking our calendar and accepting. I have heard plenty of times it is better to get your children on skis as soon as possible becuase at the this age they have no fear.
We packed up and headed for Mountain Creek which is a quick 90 minute ride. Once we arrived we were greeted by gorgeous views of endless mountains, snow, and children of all ages engaging in skiing, snowboarding and snowtubing just a bit down the road.
For a Saturday there was a buzz about, however everything was still run seemlessly and the staff couldnt be more accomodating. Two hours after JD was skiing, and Gia was Snowboarding, we enjoyed an Italian style lunch at Schuss in the Red Tail Lodge.
With another day of activity on the horizon, JD and Gia were eager to hit the slopes at 9 am, breakfast first of course, which was easily located upstairs from the main lobby. The buffet breakfast before us, had everything one could desire. We filled up the littes, and then got them fitted for snowboards.
Of course one day is never enough so go ahead and check in to either the Grand Cascades Lodge, where mountian luxuryt is redefined, with its lavish revival of the classic Adirondack style lodges, the Minerals Resort & Spa which boosts a three story upscale Aspen style structure as well as spacious mountain, and golf side condos. Last but not least is the Appalachian and Black creek sanctuary which offers amazing slope side and town home vacation lodging.
