Ironically just as I unplug the kids for the summer, I decided to reorganize our front room and plugged in. We removed all the toys, the paint dried, added a hanging light fixture, and white curtains. Shortly after I settled into my new space, I realized how quiet it was. I guess growing up with a big loud Italian family has affected me in more ways than just the kitchen.
I refused to add an additional television, because I firmly believe all my money should be spent on fashion. However, I do enjoy the background noise of my favorite shows. Only turning for that OOEMMGEE moment where you grab the remote and hit the rewind button while having an anxiety attack.
I was on a FiOS twitter chat, (which are monthly and you have the opportunity to win awesome prizes), and a lightbulb went off. Like HELLO!! You can use your iPad or iPhone to catch your favorite shows at your desk. I know, I know welcome to 2016. I mean my kids have been viewing their favorite movies via the Fios mobile app for some time now. I guess working from the sofa for so long, I didn’t think about it.
I now have everything I need right at my desk, including all the movies we buy, and rent. Along with all of my favorite shows I record on my DVR! Not to mention when the weather is nice enough and I decide to sit at the pool, I can listen/watch my shows and work poolside.

Fios would be an awesome idea to have for sure. I always watch Netflix or listen to it while on my computer from my laptop. It would so be great if we had this service up here in Upper Michigan but we don’t. Thanks for shairng your experience and this awesome service.

I am the same way. I don’t necessarily watch TV but I do like to have as my background noise. Never heard of this app or streaming option. We have Dish lol and I have yet to stream from theirs. Sounds like a nice option and being able to watch it on your tablet anywhere.

I tried Netflix but never tried Fios to stream movies. I do use Fios cable service. I’ll check more information on Fios for streaming movies. Thanks for sharing.

Oh it is so simple, and you can watch all the movies that you buy and rent, as well as all of your recorded shows.

We haven’t been satisfied with our current provider, but I’ve heard great things about FIOS. I want to look into FIOS for our home for sure. I hope they provide service here.

I really enjoyed Fios so much. Verizon was such a good company. My favorite part was the app and enjoy watching TV shows anywhere in the house or while I am working.

I hear great things about Fios all the time. I don’t think we get it here in Canada though, I should check into it. We have so many kids watching so many things in our house and on different devices it would be great to have.
Sara says
We have FIOS too and I have never streamed anything on my iPad either! Can you watch things on your DVR on there?
GCilenti says
Yes! You can watch all of your recorded shows.

This sounds really neat. I don’t watch too much tv but leave it on for background noise as well. Will have to look into this though.

FIOS sounds awesome! I love having the TV on in the background. Sometimes it’s just too quiet in the house to work!

LOL! I am currently watching Elementary on my cell phone while typing this comment out on my laptop. When I am in the yard I listen to the shows while on my cell phone.

I have been a FiOS customer for many years now. For television I find the service and uptime to be far superior to the cable system in our area.
